Michael Fertman is a B2B marketing consultant who has helped B2B companies accelerate revenue growth for over 20 years.
Prior to becoming an independent consultant, he was Chief Marketing Officer of Guidepoint Global, LLC, a primary research firm serving hedge funds, private equity firms, strategy consultancies and corporations. Prior to that he was a VP of Product Marketing for D&B, where he held P&Ls of up to $500mm and more than doubled the growth rate of 6 diferent product lines. He also held product marketing roles at 2 SaaS companies before we called it SaaS -- LivePerson and ScreamingMedia,
Michael also worked in marketing strategy consulting for Booz Allen & Hamilton (now Strategy &). He began his career as a Naval Officer, serving as Navigator of a Nuclear Powered Cruiser during the First Gulf War,
Michael holds an MBA in Marketing from the University of Chicago and a B.S. from Wharton School in Finance. He competed as a Coxswain for the Penn Crew team, and coached or competed on adult rowing teams in Seattle, Chicago, Cleveland and NYC.
Lisa Merriam is a brand consultant who has helped companies build and manage strong brands for over 25 years.
Prior to becoming an independent consultant, Ms Merriam was Director in the Brand Strategy practice of McCann-Erickson’s FutureBrand consultancy. She worked with clients as diverse as McGraw-Hill, D&B, UPS, and Exxon Mobil. Prior to that Marketing Director at E Ink Corporation, an MIT start-up and was Vice President of Marketing for CENUS Corporation, and Internet technology firm spun out of the University of California Santa Cruz. She began her career selling advertising space and syndicated data at Downey Communications, a family-owned company.
She is on the Board of Directors for the New York American Marketing Association and chairs the communications committee. She devotes 20% of her time helping non-profits with their marketing.
She writes for Forbes, American Bank Marketing, Apparel Magazine, China Business News, Sporting Goods Business and others. Her book, Merriam's Guide to Naming, is in its 2nd edition.
Lisa holds a B.A. in Business Administration from George Washington University.
